Feeling a little unbalanced? Seasonal transitions are the perfect time for a physical, mental and spiritual tune-up. In this workshop, we will learn how to do a gentle, food-based cleanse specifically designed for the transitional season of fall. We will make (and taste) “kitchari” – a traditional stew of dal, rice and mild spices – which kindles the digestive fire and promotes removal of toxins. We will also learn a simple routine for using herbal oils to nourish, strengthen and build immunity. To further relax and support the nervous system, we will also discuss pranayama and mediation techniques conducive to cleansing your system. This 2-hour workshop will give you all the tools necessary to complete a home-based day cleanse to gently and effectively recharge your system.
